Expired Kodak HD4 film

Had a roll that expired in 2007. Thought I'd give it a try. It's 400 ASA, so I shot it at ASA 160 to get it plenty of light. Processed at normal temps and times with C-41 kit.

Here are 4 examples:

2. back yard flowers

Not bad! Some color shift and grain, of course, though there's not nearly as much grain in that second one (which is pretty dreamy, imo!)

Thanks! Yep, you can really see some grain (and artifacts from the film holes) along the top of #3. Under-exposure really brings out grain.

You got lucky, 95% of all expired film that comes to lab have such a fogged base that they look very dark sunglass lens.
