Explorer is not responding grrrr

Starting to get fed up with Windows and Explorer, more often than not each time i type either a new post or reply to one i get an error message from Explorer telling me it is not responding, i can quickly recover the page but everything i have just typed is lost.
Yes i could use Firefox, or even buy a MAC, but that isn't the answer really is it.
Am i the only one this happens to?

Oh i also often get this error message from TPF when starting a new thread: "The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 1 characters."

Its got to the point where i have to "copy" all my text before posting just in case it crashes and i have to retype it, but i dont always remember to do that.

I had issues with Explorer on TPF as well. I switched to Google Chrome and have been fine ever since.

Glad to know i'm not alone, Explorer has become so unreliable recently, It often freezes up when browsing albums on FaceBook, But i much prefer the layout to firefox. haven't tried chrome yet, might be worth a try.

I used to use IE mostly, but now usually use Chrome or Firefox. I've had that sort of thing happen to me in all of them occasionally, and it's maddening.

I've gotten into the habit of copying the text of my post in the editor window with a quick CTRL A then CTRL C before I press any buttons on the page that will move me onto the next page by posting it or refreshing it or testing how it looks or anything else. That way, on the occasion it fails, I just hit CTRL V in the editor window, and I've got everything I just wrote right back.

Using Safari and Firefox on Windows 7 and Windows 8 and MacOS and iOS in all possible combinations. Never any problems with TPF except when the network was down
