explorer thumbnail view showing jpgs missing parts of a single photo

I have some photos where by when you view the jpgs in explorer as a thumbnail , you see the whole picture , but when I view with Windows Picture & fax viewer , it only shows half the picture , does anyone know why this is ?

I tried 5 different jpg viewers , all only display half the picture. In explorer thumbnail view , you thee the whole photo , No missing parts.

A thumbnail is a smaller version of the original.

You are looking at the original in the other viewers. If your display is say 1024 x 768 pixels but the photo is 3000 x 2000 px, the entire photo cannot be displayed at once.
