For me the blur on the left is a little distracting but it's a very good idea and a nice photo.

Like the idea, and your on the right track, but the blur on left, and your reflection in the eye is distracting for me.

Well done. I love the carved eye. I think the reflection of you works great here as the photo is saying a lot.
