You might want to get a new TV, this one seems to be on the fritz.

As a kid I once took a magnet to an old RCA cabinet television, it totally screwed up the colors. Took months of the TV naturally degaussing itself at power-cycle to mostly restore the colors.

Hence, the reason for only using shielded speakers next to a TV.
