Got lucky in a number of ways, besides spending the afternoon with my son and grandson. I've been dying to try a long exposure with water, but don't have any filters. Need to remedy that. The overcast day really helped. And absolutely no wind to mess with the leaves. That never happens. Wish there wasn't so much foliage in the way, or maybe some red in there, but this was the best shot possible.
Also got to test new equipment. The 50mm, remote shutter release and tripod. All worked flawlessly. The tripod is on the heavy side for this kind of thing. Thankfully, had a 35 yr old sherpa....err...I mean....son to carry it part of the way. Lol. Should have taken a picture of the tripod position alone. Rock solid and worth every penny.
Stay tuned. Might just be crazy enough for a frozen winter shot.
