Dead leaves are always a good subject, wet or dry. This is well done. Leaving the ground on the left was a good choice, imo. It might be worth trying it with less saturation. The image is primarily about composition and texture, not color, so deemphasizing the color may enhance the other aspects of it, or not, but worth investigating.

Good job including that small slice of ground and needles and leaf fragments! That provides a mental clue that helps this shot.
