Fall theme shoot?

Hi fellow photogs! I'm currently looking for a place to shoot near the Los Angeles area where my "fall theme" will fit. As much as possible, I need to see maple trees or similar trees and lots of them. Can anyone suggest a location? I don't mind driving an hour or so from my place but as much as possible it'll be just near LA. Thanks in advance!

I have a cabin up in Big Bear and the fall colors are now in full force. If you're going to shoot, I'd suggest hwy 38 side of the lake. It's much less crowded compare to hwy 18, which goes through town.

How about up around JPL in Pasadena?

Or head to northern San Diego county.
