Family 8mm films from early 1900---Transfer to CD???-FL

Hello, I just found this site searching for the above subject. I need to either know where to go to have 8mm film transfered to CD, or what and how much the cost of the equpment to rent or do it myslelf. I am in Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida.

You would need to capture the video with a capture card. Then you can convert it from there.

HI carla, I don't know many places that do 8mm, but Wolf Camera...and most camera stores, will send super 8mm out to be transferred. It usually runs about $15 per 50ft roll and takes about 3 weeks.

However, that film isn't the most stable and you'd be lucky to get anything from them.
