What's new

Family photos, Denver Botanic Garden

Thank you both for the advice. I do try to show them what I am asking, but it just takes so much extra time and a lot of the time people don't want to spend a ton of time getting their pictures done, they just want the end result... Blech! I'm not too worried about my time though, this is what I do for fun, not money. I love your pictures shwetty... So far all your posts that I have seen are amazingly good! What equipment did you use for this particular set?

5D, 5DII, 35L, 135L, no flash, no reflector

35 1.4? Random question... The next lens I plan on getting is the 100 2.8L Marco, I really wanted a macro lens. Can a macro work for portraiture too? Dumb question probably, but I am so clueless! Is there any loss of quality by using a macro instead of the reg 100 2.8?

I didnt know there was a 100mm that is not a macro. Yes, that macro lens is a 1:1 macro. It is actually a really nice portrait lens. I would probably safe my money and wont get the L. Just get the regular 100mm macro.

Thanks for all your advice! I will do that... I can get it sooner that way too! Do you mind if I add you? I always love to read your critiques, I really love how you are so blunt and don't sugar coat things... I hate when I post for cc and get nothing but "great picture!" when I know its not great... Grrr... Lol.

Number one is the best for sure!! Set is strong overall, but the black and whites arent killing it for me. Might be the monitor I'm on, but they just seem a bit muddy. I'm a high contrast black and white lover though, so it might just be me.

Nice job!
