Wow! Can I ask how for number two you blurred the bottom? (it may be obvious for some but I'm quite new) Also, what time of day and what focus mode/ area mode / metering did you use? thanks! you did an incredible job!!!
Thanks
For #2, the area is very hilly. I was standing on the other side of the hill in front of them, so that blur is the top of the hill before the hill they are on. Make sense? That is why it is so dramatic, and not like the normal fade of bokeh/dof. I really had no other choice but to shoot this way because of the layout of the park, and there were also 3 other photographers there that day

my usual quiet/unknown/undiscovered park is now it seems the cool place to shoot. grrrrrrrr! I also think since the place most photographers shoot around here is now over taken by 99% protestors, they have to go to other areas. oh well....
It was 330pm (central) Focus mode I think I am on single point, metering I use spot, but usually take a picture, look at my histogram/highlights and adjust.
White Balance I set in LR, to shade and then did slight adjustments by eye until I think it looks ok. I'm an not calibrated so I'm sure it is off, but at I do think it was consistent and pretty true to life. I did test prints from WHCC and they came out natural looking. I know they look bright on the screen but if I adjust them so they are not bright on my computer they are way too dark for my lab, WHCC. Not sure why that is, or how I can go about fixing that... There is a concern of mine because I give digital files and I'm sure 99% of them just stay on the disc/facebook and are never printed....
