Thought I'd just share some from my photoshoot today

I like the old, decrepit fishing boat as a colorful backdrop. It's after midnight here on the west coast of the USA, and it's 3:15 AM in the eastern time zone here in Amuuuurica and Canada, so there are not too many TPF'ers awake right now...so comments tonight might be few and far between until another six to eight hours have passed, and until Sunday morning gets into full swing...

I too like the boat as a backdrop, but to me it's a little busy. I would pull them away from it a little bit and get more separation but still keep the colors. The baby looks like she is being kidnapped by her sisters haha.

As for the processing, that to me is just your style of photography. A style in which people may hire you to do! Just because it doesn't appeal to others on the forum doesn't mean that its not correct or appropriate.

Exactly, was simply seeing what his reasons were
I won't ever change my style
And I really wish I could have done that but the area I was working in had very limited space, just slightly to left and right of girls was the end of the brick too hehe
But thankyou, I may next time use my wide-angle It may help a bit

Maybe because in his eyes (as in mine) it is overcooked. Is this HDR -ed? How many shots did it take for each frame merge? #2 is nice.

As for the processing, that to me is just your style of photography.

Actually, it's a very common style shared by tens if not hundreds of thousands of photographers.

IMO the dark eye sockets in the family shot are an issue that should have been addressed at the location before the shutter was released.

IMO, the 2 young girls should have been several feet further from the walls.

I would crop 1/2 off the top above the heads in the photo of the 2 older girls. I would burn selected portions of the background rather than using a vignette. The pose of the girl camera right is not flattering to her body type.
