These are a few family portraits I took for a friend this past week. Any feedback is appreciated!

In the first two pictures, the munchkin is off to the side so she doesn't get as much "attention" if that makes sense, in comparison to the third picture. A lot of parents focus on their children as the reason for family pictures, especially with the first child. Also, the glare on the side of his face in the first and second pictures is a little distracting, where in the third you have the sun behind him. Otherwise, very nice pictures and beautiful family. :D

I am not a good fan of posed family photos done outdoors. I find the photos quite stiff and hard. I would love to see them moving, playing with that pretty little "munchkin", running, a tickle session,or just walking hand in hand.

I dont know. just my observation

Did you do something to #3? There are odd blurry spots in a few places in the background

#1 is the best out of the 3

#2 - the black and white is not working honey... you need to add some contrast and curves to that picture

#3 - I personally don't like. The pose seems unatural/uncomfortable/forced.

I think you should look into an 85mm f/1.8 or 1.4, I almost didn't even notice the kid in the first picture, the backgrounds are just as sharp as the subjects, and really compete for attention. At least with a bright 85, those backgrounds would be out of focus.

Thanks for all the replys. I will work on all of the areas mentioned!
