I've seen this before. Good to see it again;
There are some nice lines in this shot, and some very nice colors to work with. The full depth of field is incredible.
The things that work against it are;
The centered subject and centered horizon.
- together they divide the shot into quarters.
There is also too much blah, gray area in the rocks hogging space.
The upper leftmost cloud and bird are distracting.
The sky looks underexposed while the rocks and lighthouse look overexposed.
I can see there is a lot of detail in the lighthouse walls that could be brought out a bit. The rocks could use some of the color brought out and darkened some. The sky should be lighter too. I'd also get rid of a good chunk of the left and bottom of the shot.
Ideally, going back and reshooting in more dramatic lighting and slight recomposition, possibly, with a wider angle lense would be the thing to do.
This is just what I think I would do. ^
Here is a quick, rough edit, not meant to portray anything better or refined, just an illustration of basically what I've suggested;
Maybe include more of the thing going on with the rocks at the bottom (I cropped too much).
Still, a fine shot as is.
