Some windmills around Tehachappi, CA. The first one looks over sharpened, but it's just the sun shining on the backside. Hopefully I'll get up to do some reshoots soon. The sun was bright and the wind was blowing too hard to set up a tripod.

Yes, I used a polarizer. In the 2nd the sun was just barely out of the picture on the right side

These are great, woodsac! I love the blue sky, & the simplicity of your shots.
I went to Vermont this weekend, & also saw some windmills, but it was so cloudy, & the clouds were so low, that you could barely see them...

I've been seeing the blades for those windmills loaded on trucks going through my town alot lately. Must be building a wind farm nearby.

The backlit windmills in the first photo along with the effect of the telephoto lens do look as if you had badly pasted them into this photo, but somehow - knowing that you did NOT - I like this effect.

My favourite, however, is the last because it is such a nicely composed photo, with some wonderful colours.

The last two are really good compos. i've tried to get a decent shot of these b4....but its so flat around here...at least u got some hills to add to yer compo.
