It's been a while since I posted. Just thought I'd share some from a recent practice session with a friend's little girl. As always, critiques and comments are always welcome. I edited these a little on the warm side, but any suggestions on improvements are appreciated.

And yes I do have some of her without animals! These just happen to be my favorite.

I like them all but # 1 & 4 are my favorites , Very nice work

Thank you, those are mine too. She was by far my toughest child yet to photograph!

What a perfect setting! I love them and I'm sure her mom is thrilled.

Welcome back! ;) C&C per req:

1. Really nice interaction and overall a good shot. I would try and do some subtle dodging on the horse's snout around the nostril and burn in just a little bit on the little girl's hair. The composition seems a bit 'off' to me; I would prefer to see either all of the little girl, or crop her at the waist, but the missing buttocks don't really work.

2. Outstanding! I love the composition here; especially the horse image right. Perhaps a slight saturation boost?

3. Another good shot; this one might benefit from a tighter crop, and some dodging on the horse's chest and eyes, but that's all.

4. Cute, and her expression is great, but I'm afraid the pullet lacks the impact of the horses in the previous shots.

Overall, a very nice set; well done!

Just my $00.02 worth - your mileage may vary.

I really like this set. Anything with kids and animals is pretty good in my book.

Thanks everyone, especially John for your detailed reply. I get what you are saying about #1 and I knew it was a little off with something and that's what it is! I didn't spend alot of time setting it up because I knew I had a few seconds to get that shot! She was all over the place...

Wow.. How I wish I can take photos of my girls with animals.. But unfortunately, Singapore is so small and city-like that I will never have a chance to do that.

#2 is so, so great! The horses form a perfect triangle around her and I just love it! Great job :)

All are really cute. #3 she looks a bit oof but it doesnt ruin it.

I love those! So adorable

Good set.

I find myself most fond of #3, but not because of the little girl as I find her slightly soft and under exposed.
I think the rest of the shot is spot on, and rather than cropping, I find I wish it was a bit wider of a fov.

Very nice shots
