Fast lens or stabilization?

Syndac, if it moves- get faster glass to catch it. If you move get the stabilization.

In other words, what you have heard here is correct because even Nikon is not good enough to stop the world.

I do not disagree. However, VR is also valuable when the situation calls for a large DoF. (In my case, I generally prefer small DoF but there are exceptions.)

Thanks Phranquey for the mention of the nikon 80-200 2.8, I had overlooked that lens and based on the reviews comparing it to the sigma, I think I'm grabbing that nikon instead. Time to start watching ebay...

NP. Remember, there is more than one version of the 80-200 f/2.8. Here is the one I had, and if you scroll down the page a bit, you will see the different versions of this lens.
