Hampton Court Palace on the Thames - We had our wedding reception at the Mitre Hotel opposite the main gates and were back to celebrate with a family tea party 50 years to the day and time!

We had'nt been back since and the tow path from Kingston, and back through Home Park were a common afternoon walk in "courting" days.

Well, congratulations on your GOLDEN Wedding Anniversary (that's what we call the 50 years - do you call it that, too?)

Congrats on the 50 year anniversary.

From the photographic perspective, though, this one is just a "no". I'm not sure if you intended something I just missed, but here is what I see...

1. Taking a picture of someone else's art has one of two functions... first is just an inventory of the art- something to remember the piece by. The normal way to do this on a statue would be to get many angles, of course, but if you had to pick one, usually the front would have been the choice. And exposure is super critical. Not what you've done here. Second is re-interpreting the art. This is very hard to do and requires looking at things from a different perspective or with different environmentals. Not what you've done here either.

2. The stairs are merging too much with the lines of the statue and that causes confusion.

3. The people in the background are distracting and not great in the shot.

4. The camera appears to be slightly but noticably tilted so the bottom of the base of the statue is obviously off-kilter.

If this was a "just for fun", then ok... othrwise it just doesn't work I'm afraid.
