Your choice of f stop and iso hurt.
At 1.8 your DOF was thin thus his face is sharp and the hands OOF
His left hand is clipped and his eyes are hidden.

yes, not sharp, too thin "DOF", bad composition, ........
Maybe try color next time ?

Shooting people playing violins and guitars is tough because the arms are akimbo.

As it is now you have three centers of interest that are sort of at odds.
Maybe a bit more space and moving around more to his front so he is a more compact target with his bowing hand is a bit closer to his face.
Then both the line of the violin and his arm point at his face to unite everything.
