I love both
I had a digital before an SLR, although id played with my grandad's SLR for years.
For me, I get excited about taking photogrpahs with my SLR. I love hearing the shutter release. I love waiting to see what my film and my eye produced.
I love having photographs to put in a frame and actually look at. Ive had my digital for 2 years and still havent had one of the pics developed.
I love both pieces of technology but I feel like Im taking real photographs when Im using my SLR. Thats just me.
Digitals are fantastic and I couldn't live without mine but I cetainly don't think film will disappear anytime soon. I love film and I like using old style films and formats too. People like reverting back to find something different. It spices things up!
