Being in Florida I have to battle with intense sunlight constantly, and on a lot of my photos, especially of people, I get massive glaring effects on their faces. Is there a way I can tone this down? I heard some filters can help with this?

Dont shoot into the sun? Use a lens hood? Posting some pics would help.

Would it work any better if your tried shooting them in the shade and adding fill flash if required? Just curious.

Under certain conditions a polarizing filter may help, but your best bet will be to change the time of day/locations you are shooting. Pictures would help.

You could also blast them with artificial light to balance it out while using ND filters .. more work than shooting in the shade but something you might like to experiment with.

Get some medium-sized reflectors.
