Finally a clear night for my telescope

Seems like it’s been weeks since I’ve had a clear night to take some moon shots with my reflector 5 inch telescope

Thanks Dean, I’ve always enjoyed astronomy, the problem with where I live has a lot of light pollution. Lucky for me we camp in a rural area in the summer that has a lot darker sky. It lets you see many more objects.

I'm not doing anymore moon pics, lol! That's just amazing, craters inside of craters. I'd love to be able to achieve that with my lens .... hmmm, maybe if I got on the ladder?!!

No does not work the shake in the ladder blurs the pic, that and being buzzed by the 11pm flight to London Gatwick ......

I have traveled to Lisle many times over the years. Do you shoot these from Naperville or someplace further from the city?

I camp near Lealand by Sominak it’s where I shoot most of my pictures. Lisle has a pretty bright sky, but to shoot the moon it’s so bright it really wouldn’t matter.

What telescope do you have and what do you think of the Celestron NexStar 5 SE telescope? I'm thinking of getting a telescope ... maybe.

Nexstar 5 se is a fine scope with the goto in light polluted sky’s it makes finding objects a lot easier. I have a Zhumell 130 Z that came as a table top manual dob type mount. I have a laser finder and I use an app called SkySafari that lets you find objects where ever you are with your smart phone and it’s gps. The apps free if you like space stuff download it and play around, if you have binoculars you’d be surprised how much they help.
