I finally got me a Canon 85mm 1.8 that I've been wanting and needles to say it lives up to its reputation! Here is a quick shot I took of my son. I couldn't get him to look at me because he was watching Cars the movie...oh well, maybe next time.

Wonderful shot. yes.. the 85mm f1.8 is one of my favorite lens (sniff sniff... sold mine). Works really well with the nifty fifty.

Holy smokes, the reflection in the eyes are soo sharp. I can practically see what he's watching, nice image. That lens really is top notch.
