finding nemo

i know some of you aren't photoshop fans but thought i'd have a play. the film i shot this with was some free mickey mouse film (no that doesn't mean disney made it!) so its not brilliant in terms of colour but i approached this with creativity in mind!

Amazing shot!!! I love the lines leading toward the window. Personally specular highlights are a no, no, but I think they work well with this shot.

thanks! what are specualr highlights? u mean the bw and colour difference?

Specular highlights are without detail. "hot spot" is another way to put it. Mostly the center of a light source. The idea is that your eye enjoys detail in the shadows and the highlights. The other idea is that your eye immediately goes to the lightest point.

I have to admit that I have killed more than one product shot due to those pesky, detail less ƒ¨ç?´®ß. Luckily those days are gone. I should also say that I love the hot spots in my lens flare shots. For me positioning them is tough.
