Finished High Fidelity...

Anyone else read this? dont wanna ruin it for everyone but it seems to end oddly...like its one of those false hope endings that seem to be a bit of a usual thing...like Catch "22" ending...

And I need suggestions for a book to read...and I want it to be funny!

My dad suggested a book called "Time Travelers wife" isnt funny as such...but...?

You've never heard of the princess bride? You're in the absolutely perfect spot to read it then. Nothing has ruined more books or movies for me than someone giving me too much information and spoiling part of the plot and / or over-hyping it.

My recommendation is to just read it with no clue as to what it's about. (don't forget to read the editors notes, it adds a lot to the book)

If you liked high-fidelity I would say so. I also enjoyed hitchhiker's but that's a different style I'd say.

I think you'll like it. Everyone I've recommended it to has liked/loved it.

Well...I didnt like the humour of hf as much as I did hgttg...i prefere that obvious face value humour...but ill have a look for this book nun the less...

While it has humor, I would say it's a much more rounded novel than just a comedy. The movie was billed as : Adventure / Comedy / Fantasy / Romance. Which is fitting.

Its just I really want a reallllly lightharted one after this book...I found it kinda depressing near the center...and near the end...
