Fire!

NOT specifically for C&C but I will listen to comments (remember I'm a total noob!). I grabbed my new camera and headed down to Toccoa Falls College in NE Georgia last night following a fire they had at Gate Cottage the previous night.

Shots were taken on full auto with flash off. It was about 5:45pm with fading light.

Fire started at about 2:15am. As you can see, at 5:45pm, it's still burning! The stream to the right of the building leads up to the waterfall.

See, the trick is to get there before the fire department. :mrgreen:



Mine was smouldering two days later.

Any who. Get yourself off manual. If you're not sure how, pick up something like Understanding Exposure. The picks aren't bad for how you took them, but they're a little soft. A narrower aperture, a bit more ISO, and a slightly faster shutter speed with some sharpening in post or in camera could have made them look that much better.
