This is my first attempt at capturing water drop splashes using my Nikon D5100 and 18-55 kit lens. Hand held and using the camera's built in flash. It's a learning experience but it's also a fun experience; a win-win for me.
Opinions are welcome. $DSC_0439.jpg

That’s a pretty good result for going handheld with pop-up flash.

If you ever get yourself an external speedlight that you can trigger off-camera, I promise you’ll enjoy yourself much more with this kind of “fun” photography. :D

Keep at it! Pretty good results for using just the pop-up flash. Some people get really "hooked" on these splash photos.

I managed to capture this water drop falling while playing around with camera. Hand held using my 18-55 kit lens and the pop up flash on the Nikon.

If it was me I'd crop out the water spout I like the drop and the background is nice with the pattern more prevalent in the drop let. Not bad at all for hand held and on pop up. Looking in my phone so I'm not sure of the sharpness or anything like that.

And another water droplet shot. Taken the same way as above.
