First attempts at baby portraits. C&C Please

My first attempt at baby portraits.
We did these outside, just kind of playing around with him propped on pillow with a white sheet over it.

Both are a bit overexposed.

I LOVE IT GREAT JOB HERE ! ! ! ! the over exposure gives a soft tone to the photo
and the color of the hat and shirt work well together.

Not a fan of black and white pictures of kids, especially babies. B&W creates a moody feel, and the fact the baby is not smiling... well, that's just one depressing picture. Now, the second is a sharp contrast. It's a happy picture and you can't help but smile when you see it. The only fault I'd find was cutting off the baby's left elbow and knee. Back up a little or zoom out a little next time.. you can always crop back in if you need to.

All in all, a pretty good first attempt with a difficult kind of subject. Keep at it!
