first attempts with HDR for C&C

these are both using 4 exposures, and HDR'ified with photomatix. I did some additional PP in photoshop afterwards, more so on #1 than #2.

I wanted to crop #2 down but photoshop was tweaking out with the crop tool for some reason.. so these are both the full shot.

The processing isn't bad for your first shot. They look fairly natural although #1 still has the typical hdr halo in the sky. The compositions aren't very inspiring. I think you might have an interesting subject in #2 with the lines and colors, but I wonder why you included the building and the sky? The elements in the images aren't cohesive to me. The telephone pole and the old stone building... how are they related? What were you trying to communicate with these two images exactly?
