First B/W submission with new DSLR

This is my first B/W upload(first B/W period) with my Canon T3 refurb., and kit lens(yeah I'm a cheapskate and I like it). Unfortunately all my photos are free hand until I can convince my wife to let me buy a nice tripod(hopefully sooner than later). It's simple, I know but I love natural textures and this really popped out at me.



I shot it at 1/50 sec at F/4.5, 29mm, ISO 200 ( hopefully I did that right)

Welcome to the site. Just a suggestion about posting pictures. You will get more views and c&c by posting the picture here instead of a link.

to do that in flicker, look for the bbc coding and you can copy it directly into the thread.

Thanks for the heads up, I am unable to locate that info on my page. Whereabouts should I look for that?

Click on the specific photo you want to share and then look for the box with an arrow coming out of it ("More ways to share"). A popup box will appear and one of the tabs on it should ready "get HTML/BBC Code". Copy that into here.

...or upload directly from your PC. That's what I do. I personally hate links and will often pass them by

to upload from pc, click Insert Image button and then From Computer tab. Then at the bottom, click the select image button.
