Ely Cathedral this morning with the Union Flag flying early for Remembrance Day 11/11 and silence at 11am

It feels very soft, but I think that's a good thing here. Very lovely, and it captures a sense of poignancy, I think, quite well.

Minor quibble with the white structures along roughly where the horizon line should be. They seem to serve no visual purpose and disrupt the feel of the thing. A purist might burn them down a touch to make them less distracting, and a more free spirit might simply clone them out.

I agree if it was for competition - this was a "quickie" catching the light from our back "yard" before being sent round to get the papers and then allowed breakfast!
Rain followed within the hour . . . this is England in November!
