Hey guys!

So I shot my first live show last night. My friends band was opening for an act thats kinda big in the Metro Detroit area. I picked up a 50mm f/1.8 lens because I knew that the lighting would be low at best. Fell in love with the lens, and fell in love with a few bands.

I now understand what you guys always talk about with the Red lights being living hell, but a little work in post and I was able to cure most of it. I didn't do much in post but adjust the white-balance to help with the red and turn a few B&W. It was 3 am by the time I got in and started workin, so I hope to do some harder PP later, before the food induced coma! Here's just a couple of shots, let me know what you guys think!

3. This one is a little bit dark, but I really like the angle of it.

The black n white ones are fab, if a little over exposed maybe - which is a good thing because at least you know you had enough light rather than not enough and this can be cured where as under exposing is harder to cure, i personally think.

2 and 4 are my faves.

1 could be fixed if shot in RAW (blown areas)

5 is too soft for my taste

6 is nice but I prefer some facial expression and the head(?) in the lower right distracts.

3 doesn't do much for me - maybe if the crowd were looking at the subject ...

Nice job over all.
