First macro shot

I recently purchased a macro lens mainly for a two month expedition to Cusuco National Park in Honduras but naturally need to practice with it before I go. This was taken handheld in my backyard. Please critique.

its a nice shot, what lens are you using? only gripes i have is that it looks a tad underexposed and soft. the colors are a little bland for my taste. dunno if you've done any PP but i would like it to look more like this, hope you dont mind. this is a 2 minute edit:
