I recently went to Arches National Park and on my way I stayed for a night in Elko, Nevada. I searched for old ghost towns around Elko and this place called Metropolis came up. I realize this place has been shot many times before but I thought I'd give my interpretation a go. This arch doorway is all that is left of the old Lincoln School.
Arched doorway standing proud
I ran across this scene with this old dilapidated camper trailer on the way to Metropolis. The camper is a cornucopia of various textures and patterns. Many of them brought on by the ravaging elements, and lots of time.
