First model shoot for a looong time

Hi guys,

I'm shooting a very attractive young lass tomorrow, outdoor location, and I was wondering if there's something I'm guaranteed to forget

My batteries are charged, I'm only taking 2 lenses, a 50mm f1.4 and 70-200 f2.8, both are clean, monopod is packed, reflectors and a stand are in the bag, I have 2 flashes with softboxes in the kit (I don't intend to use them), tripod is in the car just in case. I've spoken to her about hair makeup and wardrobe, her Mum is coming as Chaperone, I'll pick up a couple of cold bottles of water on the way, I've packed a couple of wardrobe items just incase (she's wearing jeans and a tank top).

A[art from packing some talent, is there anything you think I should put in my kit?

Yeah, was gonna suggest rope and tent stakes or something. If you do want to use the softboxes, you will find it difficult outdoors if there's any wind at all and they aren't lashed down. Although her mom could hold up to one of them, if that seems reasonable then nevermind.

Also, mirror, maybe notes on shots you want to make sure you get, and a backup flash card (and backup battery -- hard to tell if you meant just one was charged or two).

A backup camera body if you own one. An old DSLR that you've upgraded from is ideal, but even just some old film SLR with a 50mm on it you have lying around for fun, if that's all you've got. There's always the chance of dropping your gear or electronic failure, and having some way to still take SOME pictures is always good whenever possible. Even if it means working with something you're less comfortable with, and far fewer keeper shots, it's better than nothing. And more professional looking to have a plan B, even if it's not a fantastic one.

Thanks for the tips guys, it went off without too many problems (mainly "spectators" trying to either join the shot or take their own)

I did have bulldog clips and gaffer tape - it's amazing whats still in the bag after so many years Her Mum was fantastic, would hire her as a reflector stand any day, and the agreement was verbal, if I use an image I give her credit and vice versa.

One thing I'll have to do is get a makeup mirror, she had to check her face in the car mirror - not good.

I multi task, in a non discriminating way.

I also made sure that Mum was included in a few frames, not just because she was a yummy mummy, but I thought it might make a nice memory.

I have no idea, not my genre. Seems like something that used to get talked about at GuinessMan's photo's of models.
