First Mt Rainier views of 2013

OK, so I have not been shooting much lately, but the clouds did a rare opening for January and Mt Rainier was putting on it's show shortly before sunset the other night. It's too clear out and no interesting cloud formations, but this time of year any view of Rainier is spectacular.

Thanks guys, those clear cuts are a good 15 miles from the base of the mountain itself. They are close enough to me that you don't see the treeline on the mountain which is around the 6,500 ft elevation level on Rainier.

On the B&W, perhaps just a teeny bit of CC rotation and a 16:9 pano crop. Like the detail in the shot but too much sky for me.

Camera is level, the mountain and foothills are not. lol It's a common thing with shots from this side of the mountain to want to rotate it so it appears level. I agree more of a pano view would work to get rid of some of the empty sky.
