First night shot C&C please...

This was the first time I tried anything at night... and of course I pick a Friday night at the fair.... lucky I didn't get walked into and knocked down in that crowd Any suggestions on what I can do to make the next ones better (other then the obvious out of focus on the left) would be great.

Camera was on program, f4.5, shutter was 1/4 of a second and iso 100

Good shot for your first attempt. I am still struggling and learning myself. I am not certain, but it looks like you have a little camera shake during the exposure. Did you use a remote to trigger the shutter? Or perhaps you can use the delay mode, that might help a little.

It would also look a little better if the top of the sign was not cropped off. Anyway, keep it up.

There was definetly camera shake - I forgot to bring my tripod with me.... it's now forever permanently in the trunk of my car so I can't forget it again
