Your photo is... a snapshot. You need to try and elicit emotions from your viewers, and for me, this does nothing.

Try walking around with your camera for two or three hours. Find some inspiration.

Haha. It's nice to see such a quick response to my advice. However, D-B-J is right, take some time, shoot a bit to where you are comfortable with your equipment and the images you are making look like something inspired rather than just your first image capture with your new camera. The second one is tone and color-pleasing (I like your garden btw), but no where near an image that would be CC-able. Go play, then come back.
