These are my first attempts at some portraits. Was going for sultry B&amp;W hoping they are not too cliched.&nbsp;<br><br>

Erm, don't know how to say it really....

Ok, what you were going for and what you achieved are very different. You need to look at your model and see which style is most appropriate for her. Each and every time. Sultry and demure is not for her I'm afraid. She looks too scared of the camera. Spend some cash on outfits rather than going through already owned clothes, figureout which look is best for your model then build your shot around it. E.g:

Now I know that hannah would NOT look good doing a beach shoot because her skin tones are wrong for it. I couldn't do a fashion shoot with her because her body shape would be wrong for it. She IS however, perfect for this shoot.
