Hi everybody!

I've been reading photography books for a while and practicing pretty much. Here is my first good picture (or at least thats what I think). I would love to have some feedback as well as comments on editing options.

I agree. It is a good picture. Nicely done. The reading and practising is paying off.

Welcome to the Forum. I also like the shot. Colors and reflections are a real plus.
My style is more focused so would trim more off the original to eliminate the top right corner "building" and some of the bottom and right side also. Although the composition is nice as is, so I would probably Photoshop the building and the stick along the top out.

This is nicely composed but, unfortunately it is out of focus due to motion blur (I think) and the bird is overexposed so you've lost all detail.
I would shoot at a higher iso so you can use a faster shutter speed.
My guess is that the green background was a bit dark so the camera exposure meter tried to make everything medium grey and over exposed it.
The bird being bright, the details just got blown away.
Expose for the important spots to be certain they are exposed correctly.
look at the lcd to see histogram.
