Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Kind of a "spur of the moment" shot, thought it was a bit different than most?

Good use of both positive and negative space for this image and good exposure from what I can see. I think compositionally the picture is good. Did you do any post processing? I ask because there is a "halo" type effect around the horses ears. The image however does lack some contrast. Also when I loaded the image into Photoshop, I noticed your screen is not color calibrated. This is something to look into since it gives you a better idea of "true" color as represented through your computer screen.

I did an edit in photoshop, all I did was add an levels layers and add a little bit of contrast where the image was lacking. Nothing more.

I did a bit of post-processing, I did increase the contrast slightly, but tried not to do to much as I am not very experienced in this field!
Your edit does look a lot better. Will definitely look into the whole colour calibration issue!
Thanks!

The 'halo' around a horse's ears are normal... its the fold where on one side the hair grows out, and the other side the hair grows in. A lot of the photos you see of horses when they're totally dolled up, people have shaved the inside and trimmed the outside of the ear, eliminating the 'halo'. =)

ETA: Wanted to make it a bit more clear. Where the hair grows out, the light can get through it, versus the 'in' hair which is shrouded by the ear itself, giving the halo appearance. I'm not sure I'm making much sense, but I'm trying!
