Thanks in advance!

Bump-seems to be working now :)

They look pretty good overall to me! I think there could have been more fill light for #5, #7 and #8. I love the first four - I wonder how the first and second ones would look if you had shot them in portrait instead of landscape orientation?
I like the damask background, especially with the baby with the red headpiece on shot against it.

Exactly my thinking.

1,2,3,5, rotate camera to tall.

Thanks for the input everyone. I don't have an actual floor drop so that is why I have the landscape orientation so much because I don't like the transition I was having between the blanket and the backdrop.

She loved them.......enough that she is paying me $65 when I had told her they would be free :) I am buying a 2nd backdrop with it.

Flip camera to portrait orientation...

#5 is great. My favorite. Priceless expression really...
#7 almost looks like she's squinting? Is that just the way the kid looks or was it a squint?
#8 bottom left corner is dangerously close to being blown out...

I don't shoot a lot of people so take my C&C with a grain of salt...or maybe the whole shaker...

Thanks, the 3 year old was not in the mood to have her picture taken and that was the best smile face I could get out of her :)

I DEFINITELY learned I need to get some shear white curtains, I took these with all natural light and the sun was super bright yesterday so that is what happend on 8.

I like them all. the shadows in the baby's face in #5 I really like. Gives a natural feel to the shot. Thank god everyone doesn't shoot the same way or photography would be pretty boring. Keep shooting and thanks for sharing.

The faces are cute, the lighting is flat and boring. The one with the pink background is the only one with any sort of direction to the light. Looking at the catchlights, it looks like you had a light in an umbrella to either side of the camera at a 45, which would be why the light is flat. Try moving one of the lights to the side of the children, and adjusting the ratio of key to fill, and you will get much more interesting light.

#1 such a natural seeming expression
love #3 but i am partial to pics at their level
#4 reminds me of that internet baby pic where photoshop shrek, soldier

My only "beef" is with the eyes. Are the light reflections normal?
My photography hobby is about a month old so I wouldn't know if this is normal or if there was something that could be done (besides PP).

Thank you for the input. I don't use studio lights and at this point don't plan to. I do need to get some white sheets or something to reflect the light from the sides. That was ALL available light from my large bay window.

Thank you :)

The light reflections are real. I did apply the unsharpen mask in my PP. I actually love that style....I know everyones opinions are different but I LOVE the bright eyed babies.

They look nice, I mean they're fine pictures. The thing that will take them from nice to stellar is changing your lighting around. As mentioned before, the lighting is very flat which makes the images not very interesting to look at. Not sure what your lighting setup was, but try lowering one side by at least a stop to add some dimension to the subjects' faces.
