Here is a picture I took of the frost, and an iPhone snapshot of what was happening just 10 minutes from my house.

Makes me even more happy to be down South....65 degrees :)

This makes me so excited for shots in the snow and ice!

Yucky! Glad the snow didn't hit up in Northern Vermont yesterday! Its so cold now though! I HATE WINTER!

Whoa I'm hoping global warming kicks up and we don't get winter this year.

Oh, I have ideas. I've never really shot snow, other than snapshots, so I'll be playing with my camera. I'm in a family full of boyscouts so don't worry about me, they are always 'prepared'! Lol

Any C&C on the frost pic though. I think it's neat so I need someone to tell me different....

OK, so snow is really hard to get good photographs in... Here are a few, but I may wait until tomorrow when its done actually snowing and get some after pics. the snow lesses with my DOF and my auto-focus... grrr

What do you think?

...What do you think?

I think "better you than me." There is a very good reason I live in the South...though even here is not *nearly* far enough south for me in the winter. I love pictures of the snow, but to say that I hate the cold is just an absurd understatement. One day, when I'm rich, I'll live here eight months of the year, and travel the Caribbean from about November til March.
Your photos: I like the second the best. The first just isn't that interesting to me personally, and seems a little soft. I kinda like the third one, but again it seems a little bit soft and there's not enough contrast to make it really interesting. I wonder how it looked in color?

We got some down here in Maryland too... Nice to get some early snow after a really hot summer

I don't really like the cold either, and I was born and raised up here! I keep telling my husband that we need two houses, one in each hemisphere! I wish we could have snow without the cold, because it is beautiful.

I like the second one better too, I just wish they would move the car. They are probably soft because the snow was messing with the AF and I really stink at manual... and you may not believe me, but the third one IS in color! Its really underexposed though so it may have just washed all the color out. Thank you for your thoughts.

I like the second one as well. 1 may have struck me more if it wasn't birds eye view. I think we'll have snow here in Ontario in a week or two! (surprised we don't yet)

Ah, I love snow! I'm waiting for the first snow anxiously. Autumn is so awful.
Nice pictures. Maybe try experimenting with angles a little with the frost? I took some frost photos last year and got down to the ground so that the camera was on the same level as a leaf I was shooting. It brought something 'different' to the picture, now your frost photo portrays something anyone will see when they look down to their feet.
