First snowfall of the season on Mt Rainier

All the snow that melted off during our long dry summer is now coming back after a new weather front blew through yesterday bringing the snow level down to less than 4,000 feet. Won't be long and I will be able to break out the snowshoes.

Winter is close by - love the lenticular clouds that this mountain seems to get. I just might have to plan a trip down there to get some pics of these. Let's see, first I have to get a roadmap of the state and then...well you know. Might even be able to do it over a weekend?

No matter where you live or go, it's interesting to watch the weather change--literally by the hour of every day. I think those of us interested in landscape photography notice, understand and appreciate this more than anyone else.
