Sorry, I forgot to say what a nice shot that is. I can only assume you're loving that R6, I know I would be. the animal eye det. is a great thing, especially for doing bif shots but I guess you still have to be smooth on the panning or else. Is that correct?

Aye, the panning still needs to be decent. The 800mm f/11 only uses a bit of the center of the sensor so you don't have a lot of room if the bird moves out of that area. Other lenses give you whole sensor coverage tho.
