First Time Macro

I've never done macro, just had a day off last week, so I picked up my camera and roamed around the house. Here are a few snaps.

First, you need to call an exterminator to get rid of all those bugs that are in your house.

Thanks, I am just having difficulties controlling DoF. It's hard getting used to f/16 being normal when usually shooting anything but macro I hardly ever gone over f/9

Hand holding that 180mm f/2.8 is crazy though. I am definitely getting a workout with this.

I really like these. You can tell they were not taken by some beginner playing with macro, but someone who was paying attention to make good compositions and knew what he was doing.

Next, you'll want to get a focus rail and learn to do focus stacks.

Yes, I already looked at those. Novoflex looks to be a good brand for those because from reviews I see most people say it doesn't have any play in it, unlike manfrotto.

I am kind of torn right now between a focus rail or Lee filter set. Can't get both at the same time.. I think the rail will have to wait, I am going to a sunrise/sunset shootout in 2 weeks and I think I'll need that Lee set before hand.
