Paint Louis 2026 - Graffiti Event

Every Labor Day weekend graffiti artists from around the US and a few International Teams paint the flood wall in St. Louis. I usually go on day 2 Saturday, but it was scorching hot. Sunday morning artists were putting the last touches on their art. It was 100+ on Friday and Saturday, the artists put in long days in the heat. Sunday was much better temps.

Eyesore tags aside, this truly is an under-appreciated artform. Banksy miniatures, for me, just don't have the same impact these widescreen works do. Thanks for the post!

These are great! I seem to remember this event from last year. These artists are fantastic - and very tolerant of the heat.

Thanks terri! I've been going for about 10 years. The artists are assigned a location of the wall. About 2 miles of art. Some of the artists return each year to the same spot and interesting to see them each year. I spoke with a team member of one group and she said the heat was brutal first 2 days. Many artists got light headed. They had misting stations set up and the organizers brought in ice. The first few years were basic with artists only. Now there is a stage with hip hop artists, food trucks, and a children's area to try out painting. There are tents with sponsors of the event. Glad to see the event grow.

That's awesome news about having sponsors. Probably a little help with the misting stations and plenty of ice.

I wish I had toured the ship. Crazy times with Flood of '93
