First time shooting in manual, would like c&c please!

I've had my dslr camera for six months and only today turned it to manual and tried to figure out ISO, shutter speed, and aperture. I would love some feedback on what could be done to make these better! I was just playing in the yard with the kids, so not really focusing on poses or cropping. I'm mainly trying to get a good grasp on exposure for now.

Pretty good to my eye, skin tones nice, maybe a slight overexpose but could be artistic if intentional.

Thanks! I had a hard time getting their faces light enough to not be all shadowy, but still not over expose their hair. Especially the baby...he is really fair.

I think you have done a great job here. I like the dreamy 'slightly overexposed' look in this instance. Watch cropping in too close.

3&4 are too bright with little contrast. Pretty girl with lovely eyes. Nice shots.
