First time shooting manual..C+C

Hi, this is my first post and first time messing with a D70 I picked up a few weeks ago. Went out in the desert for a few quick shots in manual.

Its not that hard, is it

The photo doesnt do much for me, its a cliche car shot. Technically, it is quite sound. Maybe some flash on the hood, or even from top left would help a bit.

Nice first try!! Agree with the above; the actual shot doesn't do much for me (anyone that knows me knows that I really don't like automobile photography...so don't be offended ).

Nice exposure, nice comp.

Question, just out of curiosity, where was this taken?

Looks good. Maybe a polarizer could have helped with the bright reflections on the lamps.

You realize that they're black rims, right?

OP- The car needs a bit more angle to it. It's a nice Mini though (I work at a Mini Dealer). I also agree that the hood needs a tad bit more lighting.
