Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I'm not sure the best way to get what i want, but I've posted a few pics from my gallery that I'd like some comments on.. Please let me know if I'm going about this the right way. Thanks!

My desire is to up my game by moving beyond just snapping pics to journal my travels and family events.... I'm looking for C&C that will help me with some standard do's and don'ts and some suggestions that can help me find my "style".

I like the panorama shot (#3). The beach shots all have a lot of glare. I'd suggest looking into a circular polarizing lens filter (CPL). This is an adjustable filter that will go a long way in cutting glare, deepening color saturation, and just generally improving shots like these. In fact, I'd recommend this filter before any other camera accessory purchase.

The final shot... well... OK, all the others show good composition and show your potential. Heh, I'll leave it at that.

Welcome to the forums, keep shooting and posting!

Welcome and good luck taking info from this site and putting it to good use for learning.

The biggest things that stick out are way too many blown areas and heavy vignettes.

Interested in the lack of comment from DC on #5 above.... assumed that means it sucks.... These were shot with a Nikon P7000... ok but not my SLR... can't add a polarizer. I'm looking for composition improvement... more than technical stuff although all is appreciated.... Do these seem any more "pleasing" from the composition perspective?

Avoid putting your horizon right in the middle. Research the Rule of Thirds.
